Protecting Passengers
A frantic driver placed a call to dispatch – a disabled passenger had slipped through her safety belts and was in severe distress. In the past, a manager would have been sent to the vehicle’s location about 30 minutes away to assess the situation and address the passenger’s safety.
Because CWI had installed MobileLink LIVE on this particular bus, the dispatcher immediately accessed the vehicle’s rear interior camera and within seconds contacted 911. Seven minutes, later local EMTs were onboard administering much-needed assistance to the passenger.
Protecting The Public
Oklahoma law enforcement notified a CWI customer that a potential fugitive from justice had been reported on one of its vehicles. By referencing the GPS and time stamp data in our system, we were able to assist the customer in recreating the vehicle’s route, and pinpoint specifically when and where the person of interest had been picked up and dropped off. Our customer provided this information to law enforcement, allowing them to quickly apprehended the fugitive without incident.
Protecting Our Customers
One of our customer's drivers experienced a debilitating seizure and struck a parked car. Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured. However, the owner of the parked car filed suit, claiming she had been injured in the collision and was seeking compensation.
The customer was able to review the video our system captured and establish beyond question that the owner was not in the vehicle and instead was actually running away from the vehicle prior to the collision. This evidence was key in allowing them to avoid a costly and erroneous settlement.
